An indispensable pillar of securing skilled workers in the region

Every year, the volunteer examiners conduct more than 4,000 examinations in dual training and continuing vocational training. Without their commitment, securing skilled workers and an efficient economy would be unthinkable. On 8 November, the IHK Ostbrandenburg honored this dedicated work at the examiner reappointment ceremony in the Kleistforum Frankfurt (Oder). This ceremony, which takes place every five years, was a solemn moment of thanks.

"Without your commitment, we would not be able to maintain the high level of our training quality," emphasized IHK President Carsten Christ in his speech and stressed that the volunteer examiners play a decisive role in shaping the professional future in the region.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of silver and gold IHK badges of honor to 71 examiners who have been involved for ten and 25 years respectively. These awards symbolize the appreciation of the IHK and the importance of the commitment to dual training in East Brandenburg.

In the next five years, a total of 681 examiners (228 women and 453 men) will ensure a lively and practical training system.

The IHK Ostbrandenburg is the largest representation of business interests between Schwedt and Eisenhüttenstadt, between Berlin and the Oder.
