The final rehearsals have finally begun. Over the past few months, the Panzerkreuzer Rotkäppchen theater collective has been researching in Eisenhüttenstadt, asking people about their memories of and feelings about the Friedrich Wolf Theater and using the material to devise the play. Then, about three weeks ago, the actors, dancers, musicians, choirs and dance groups under the direction of Susann Neuenfeldt began rehearsals in Berlin and Eisenhüttenstadt. Around 100 participants, including sound and lighting designers, prop makers, set designers and costume designers, prepared a theater event the likes of which the Friedrich Wolf Theater has probably never seen before:

The house opens up for a polyphonic experience of music, dance, puppet theater and concert. A walk-in total work of art: audiences can wander freely around six stations in and around the theater and discover the changing scenes – from an oversized puppet show on the forecourt to a birthday table with guests from seven decades of theater history, with their stories, memories and dreams.

Since the beginning of October, all scenes, dances, songs, all prepared stage elements, props and costumes have been brought together. Everyone, including the staff of the Friedrich Wolf Theatre, has been working flat out to create a truly unique theatrical spectacle.
