Location and skilled worker campaign launched in the Metropolitan Region East
The skilled worker and location campaign "Chefinsache/Chefsache" was launched in Marzahn-Hellersdorf and Märkisch-Oderland (MOL) with an impressive poster campaign. The aim of the campaign is to highlight the Metropolitan Region East as an attractive place to live and work and to support regional companies in recruiting skilled workers. From the middle of this week, large billboards will be displayed at prominent locations* in eastern Berlin and Brandenburg, featuring committed managers as role models for the region and for an innovative and value-oriented corporate image.
Campaign motifs and message
For the campaign, which was implemented by the Neubrandenburg agency 13 Grad, bosses of regional companies were transformed into photo models. The leaders show their faces for a future-oriented corporate culture. The motifs are used to highlight the economic diversity of the location and attractive working conditions to the public. The aim is also to stimulate discussion about benefits and counteract the increasing shortage of skilled workers. A total of 8 bosses stood in front of the camera - 4 companies from Marzahn-Hellersdorf and 4 from Märkisch-Oderland.
Heads of the campaign:
Magdalena Eilers, Arona Klinik für Altersmedizin, Berlin
Jens Freitag, Heckmann GmbH & Co. KG, Hoppegarten
Thomas Koch, Koch Automobile AG, Berlin
Ulrike Oberthür and Stefanie Rogall, Kristallkinder Intensivpflege GmbH, Petershagen/Eggersdorf
Sven Schimansky-Wabra, DERMAGO GmbH, Strausberg

Rainer Schinkel, Alderman, Head of Department and Head of the Märkisch-Oderland Economic Office, welcomes the campaign:
"This is a great, high-profile campaign that shows the entrepreneurial potential and values we have in the Metropolitan Region East. For years, we have been working closely together with the district of Marzahn-Hellersdorf and neighboring municipalities and cities in the Märkisch-Oderland district's business development department. For me, this cooperation is a "top priority". We can look back on many successful projects that have strengthened the location and at the same time supported the regional business community. The Career Compass training and study fair is a very successful example of these inter-municipal cooperation activities. I am delighted that we will be continuing this inter-municipal cooperation in 2025."
The district mayor of Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Nadja Zivkovic, is also delighted with the location campaign:
"I know the bosses who took part in the campaign and I know how committed each and every one of them is. I am proud that we have such great companies from different sectors in the region. This is now the third location campaign of the Metropolitan Region East that I have had the pleasure of supporting. After products and trainees, the focus is now on outstanding leaders from our district and the Märkisch-Oderland district, representing the diversity and attractiveness of our shared business location. A corporate culture that focuses on social responsibility and employees is fit for the future. I would like to thank the bosses for their commitment. At the same time, I would like to invite other companies from Berlin and Brandenburg to take part in the campaign in order to strengthen the region and position themselves for the future."
To coincide with the launch of the poster campaign, the website of the well-known regional training and study fair Career Compass has a new subpage: under the link or call-to-action "Get to know companies", interested parties - skilled workers, prospective trainees, students and school leavers - can find career opportunities and further information on the participating companies. The regional employers present themselves, their corporate values and vacancies, including the benefits on offer.
