The calendar with historical views of Frankfurt (Oder), published annually by the city archives, is a cooperative project involving various stakeholders for the first time in 2024.
The project was created as part of the theme year "Baukultur leben – Kulturland Brandenburg 2023". The city archive developed the calendar together with the Institute for Applied History, largely inspired by Antje Wilke, and Magdalena Scherer from the cultural office.
The cooperation is part of the participatory exhibition and mediation project HALBE STADTansichten by the two cooperation partners.
In addition to historical images, the calendar also features photographs by Rudolf Hartmetz, who meticulously documented the Halbe Stadt area. For a historical calendar, unconventional photographs were taken by Bernhard Ludwig and Roman Boichuk.
Calendar presentation
As part of the finissage of the HALBE STADTansichten exhibition, the presentation of the calendar is planned for Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 3 p.m. in the sacristy of St. Marienkirche.
Afterwards, the last guided tour through the exhibitions HALBE STADTansichten and "Um Kunst eine Platte machen" (to the Große Scharrnstraße) will take place at 4.00 p.m.
The event is free of charge.
As only the sacristy is heated, but not the exhibition area, warm clothing is recommended.
