On Thursday, May 16, 2024 – the International Day of Light – there will be a guided tour with the photographer at 11.30 a.m. as part of the exhibition "Frankfurt Underworlds: Photographic Discoveries by Hartmut Kelm", there will be a guided tour with the photographer.
Hartmut Kelm will take you on a journey back to the time of the GDR, including to one of the last major relics of the former semiconductor plant: the 1912 production hall as a labyrinth of walk-in ducts with various supply lines.
In addition, the exhibition shows amazing things that often go unnoticed by the public: long cellars with historic barrel vaults and old cellars of a medieval department store, kilometers of rainwater pipes or a rainwater retention basin more than three meters high.
