From cyber security and better protection of whistleblowers to discussions about fair supply chains – the European Union is shaping current compliance developments like never before. The 11th Viadrina Compliance & Integrity Congress on Tuesday, May 28, will discuss current developments from the perspective of science, business and administration.
Under the title "EU as Compliance Super Legislator", the Viadrina Compliance Center of the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) is organizing the congress in cooperation with several partners at the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems FOKUS, Kaiserin-Augusta-Allee 31, in Berlin.

About the program
In four discussion rounds between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., researchers and practitioners will exchange views on the following topics:
- Whistleblower protection: Are whistleblowers effectively protected? What challenges are there in implementing the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG)
- Cyber security: How great are the dangers in the virtual space and what can companies do about them?
- Corruption prevention: What does the European Union's new proposal for a directive contain? And how high is the risk of corruption in Germany?
- Supply chains: What is the interim assessment of the Supply Chain Act and what will change as a result of the European Supply Chain Directive CSDDD (Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive)?
