The district of Märkisch-Oderland has successfully completed the "Altlandsberg residential home" realisation competition. On 14 April 2026, the jury selected the winning design for the new residential home for children, adolescents and young adults with disabilities.
The planning team MOZIA Monari + Zitelli Architekten Partnerschaft mbB from Berlin was awarded first prize. The design impressed with its high architectural quality, clear structure and consistent implementation of accessibility, inclusion and sustainability.
With the new building, the district is pursuing the goal of building a modern and inclusive residential centre for a total of 18 young people. In addition to two residential groups for children and young people, a residential group for young adults is also planned for the first time, who will be accompanied on their way to a more independent life.
The district of Märkisch-Oderland intends to enter the further award procedure with the winning planning team on the basis of the jury's recommendation and prepare the implementation of the project.
All ten competition entries will be on public display from 23 April 2026 at the Seelow district office.
