Watercourse and dike show 2023 in Frankfurt (Oder)

This year's water and dike show of the city of Frankfurt (Oder) is carried out by the Environmental Agency - lower water authority - in accordance with § § 111 and 112 of the Brandenburg Water Act (BbgWG) in the period from 27 to 30 March 2023 in the urban area.

The watercourse and dike inspection includes the inspection of surface waters and dikes, as far as it is necessary to monitor the proper watercourse maintenance and use and dike maintenance. This shall include determining whether the watercourse or dike is properly maintained.

For the watercourse and dike inspection, the local chiefs of the local districts and the legally required participants:

• those obliged to maintain the watercourse,
• the owners and riparians of the waters,
• those entitled to use the waters,
• the State Office for the Environment,
• the Office of Fire, Civil Protection and Rescue,
• the fisheries authorized persons,
• the lower fisheries authority,
• the lower nature conservation authority
• and for navigable waters, the competent transport authority

invited to have the opportunity to comment.

The inspection dates will be announced in accordance with local custom.
