Volunteering is an important part of working together as a society. Many people are therefore committed to helping the community in their free time. Whether in the volunteer fire department or sports club, for sick or elderly people: There is a broad cross-generational spectrum of voluntary work.

For this reason, the city of Frankfurt (Oder) will once again award the "Volunteer of the Year" in 2024. This campaign of thanks and appreciation is supported by Sparkasse Oder-Spree and Antenne Brandenburg.

Volunteers who are particularly committed to the common good are sought out in eight categories:

A – Sport
B – Culture & Education
C – Commitment to People, Animals, Environment & Climate
D – Diversity, Tolerance & Equality
E – Social
F – Honorary Award
G – Junior Award – U25 Award
H – Heinzelmännchen Award

Application forms can be collected from the counter at the town hall from Monday, September 30, 2024.
Alternatively, the online form can be used to submit nominations.
The deadline is October 30.
