The musical evening "Wiener G'schichten" © Bernd Schönberger

With selected hits, songs and "Wiener G'schichten", the Cottbus State Theatre's production of the same name will create a coffee house atmosphere on December 15 and 17 at Frankfurt's Kleist Forum and whisk the audience away to the Danube metropolis, which is as wild as it is wine-soaked and sometimes contradictory. A selected repertoire of Viennese melodies will be performed, including popular hits from films and operettas, as well as thoughtful verses. Not to be missed is the morbid "Taubenvergiften im Park", which was originally sung by Georg Kreisler.

A musical delight in a class of its own with Frank Bernhard on the piano and Heiko Walter, who not only impresses with his baritone vocals, but also switches effortlessly from Berlin to Viennese dialect to explain the essence of the city and its inhabitants between Hotel Sacher, Prater and Heuriger.
