Sitting in the lecture hall with other children on four afternoons, listening to exciting lectures, asking questions and then eating in the canteen. This is the concept of the Viadrina Children's University, which starts its 19th edition on Wednesday, February 26. This year, experts from the European University Viadrina and from the region will talk about how elections work, where electricity comes from, why we should protect bees and how to become a champion athlete.

Children and young people between the ages of 8 and 13 can take part; the four lectures start at 4 p.m. on Wednesdays in the Gräfin-Dönhoff building, Europaplatz 1, lecture hall 3.
