The President of the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Prof. Dr. Eva Kocher: "Universities are places of science, debate and social dialogue. In long-standing, close partnerships connect us not only professional exchange and scientific curiosity, but also friendly contacts with actors in Ukrainian science and civil society. Many of our researchers and students have been intensively engaged with questions of Ukrainian history and the present, and not only since the Russian attack on Ukraine. Therefore, we are very pleased that President Selenskyj takes the time for a digital exchange with our students."
The President of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Prof. Dr. Julia von Blumenthal: "30 years after the resumption of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Germany and almost a year after the expansion of the Russian war of aggression to the entire territory of Ukraine, it is more important than ever that we perceive Ukraine as a democratic state in Europe and listen carefully to the voice of Ukraine. I thank President Selenskyj very much for personally taking the time to speak to the students of our universities and to address their questions."
