On Monday, September 1, 2025, Mayor Claus Junghanns welcomed 11 young men and women who will be starting their training or dual studies at the city administration of Frankfurt (Oder) with immediate effect or from October.
This year, training places were offered as administrative assistants, emergency paramedics and surveying technicians as well as places on the "Public Administration Brandenburg" and "Civil Engineering" degree courses.
The trainees and students will complete the practical part of their training or studies in the specialist offices of the municipal administration, the rescue station and the Frankfurt (Oder) hospital, among others.
During the event, Mayor Claus Junghanns, the representative of the staff council, the person responsible for training and the youth and trainee representative gave the trainees and students an insight into the responsibilities and processes of the administration. A trainee team day and a trainee health day are also part of the induction week.
A total of 45 young people are currently training or studying at Frankfurt (Oder) City Council.
