The prelude to „Bunter Hering“ – Football Festival 2024 presented by Antenne Brandenburg

A few days before the HanseStadtFest "Bunter Hering", the StadtSportBund Frankfurt (Oder) e.V., together with the "Street Football" project of the Brandenburg Sports Youth in the Brandenburg State Sports Association and Messe und Veranstaltungs GmbH, will transform Brunnenplatz into a special kind of football pitch. The reason for the "Football Festival 2024 presented by Antenne Brandenburg" is the 2024 European Football Championships being held in Germany.

On at least six soccer courts measuring 10 x 15 meters, teams of three people each will have the opportunity to compete against each other in different categories in tournaments lasting at least six minutes from 8 to 9 July 2024. All ages, genders and experience levels are welcome.

• On July 9 and 10, the European Championship semi-finals will be broadcast live on a large LED screen at the "Public Viewing European Football Championship 2024 presented by Antenne Brandenburg" from 8:00 p.m. The food and drink offerings on Brunnenplatz will complete this major sporting event.
• On Monday, July 8, the soccer courts will be open in the morning for secondary schools (grades 7–13), followed by an award ceremony. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. and matches begin at 9:00 a.m.
  Registration for the recreational tournament (age groups 6–10 and 11–13) starts at 3:00 p.m.and matches begin at 4:00 p.m. The winning teams of the recreational tournament will be announced at the award ceremony at around 8:00 p.m.
• On Tuesday, July 9, registration for the daycare and elementary school tournaments will start at 8:00 a.m. The games start at 9:00 a.m. From 2:00 p.m., the winning teams of the respective age groups (5–6 years and 1st–6th grade) will be crowned.
  From 4:00 p.m., registration for the leisure tournament (age groups 14–17 years and over 18s) will start.
• Companies are also invited to form teams and show off their soccer skills in the company tournament taking place at the same time. The game starts at 5:00 p.m. The award ceremony in the leisure and corporate tournament categories will start at around 7:00 p.m.

Football darts, a panna court (round soccer pitch) and shot speed measurements will complete the soccer offerings on Brunnenplatz.

On Sunday, July 14. On Sunday, July 14, from 7:00 p.m, the winning teams of all tournaments of the "Football Festival 2024" will be honored once again on the main stage of the "Bunte Hering", before the biggest soccer event of the year reaches its climax with the live broadcast of the European Championship final on Brunnenplatz from 20:00. The public viewing of Euro 2024 is presented by Antenne Brandenburg.

Participation in the activities and the public viewing are free of charge.
