Ten years of "Uni meets Stadt" - Viaphoniker and Frankfurter Musikfreunde give anniversary concert with Star Wars, Brahms and Elvis Presley

For the tenth joint concert of the series "Uni meets City" invite the Viaphoniker of the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) and the Orchestra of the Frankfurt Music Friends on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 7.00 p.m. (admission 6.30 p.m.) in the concert hall Carl-Philipp-Emanuel-Bach.

Under the direction of conductor Markus Wolff of the Music Friends and conductors Robert Hübner and Tony Köster of the Viadrina Ensemble, a varied program will be played, including the Mazurka from the opera "Halka" by Stanislaw Moniuszko, the Hungarian Dance No. 5 by Johannes Brahms, as well as Star Wars: Cantina Band by John Williams and "Elvis - Tribute to the King".

The musicians of both orchestras rehearse for the concerts and organize the events alongside their jobs and studies. They can now look back on ten years of making music together and are experiencing an ever-increasing awareness of their performances.
