The Karl Dedecius Foundation of the European University Viadrina, in cooperation with the Ecumenical European Center Frankfurt (Oder) and the University of Gdansk, is offering a study trip to Gdansk/Gdańsk for all interested parties.
Under the motto "Gdansk / Sopot / Gdynia – Science, Culture and Ecumenism in the Polish Tri-City on the Baltic Sea", participants can expect encounters and excursions, lectures and discussions on the history and present of the historic and modern metropolis on the shores of the Baltic Sea from Wednesday, September 25 to Sunday, September 29. Excursions to Gdynia and Sopot are also planned.
The program of the trip includes a visit to the European Solidarity Center, a tour of the Emigration Museum in Gdynia, talks at the University of Gdansk, a boat trip and a concert in the Philharmonic Hall. The program will be held in German and, if required, in Polish. The trip costs 590.00 euros per person including transportation, accommodation, half board and entrance fees. The outward and return journey is by coach. For working people, recognition as educational leave is sought.
