The competition for the "Zukunftspreis Brandenburg" 2026 is now open: Companies from all over the state can now apply for the prestigious award. This is the 22nd time that the Future Prize has honoured outstanding entrepreneurial achievements. Registration is open online until 31 May 2026 at www.zukunftspreis-brandenburg.de.

The award is regarded as the most important business prize that the predominantly small and medium-sized companies between the Oder, Neisse, Spree, Havel and Elbe rivers can receive. Companies are sought out for their outstanding achievements, such as innovative products and processes, modern and responsible corporate management, above-average commitment to vocational training or sustainable business practices. Successful foreign business, dynamic growth in turnover or employee numbers and exemplary succession solutions are also taken into account.

Since the premiere, a total of 192 companies have been honoured as award winners. They are representative of innovative strength, entrepreneurial courage and sustainable success – for a strong economy "Made in Brandenburg".

The award ceremony will take place on 20 November 2026 at the Holiday Inn Berlin Airport Conference Centre in Schönefeld. In addition to an image film, the winners will receive a media presence, a stele, a certificate and the right to advertise themselves with the label "Gewinner des Zukunftspreises Brandenburg".
 

Background: Supporters and partners of the most important business award in Brandenburg include the six chambers of commerce – IHKs and HWKs – as well as renowned institutions and companies such as the Investitionsbank des Landes Brandenburg (ILB), Deutsche Bank, Bürgschaftsbank Brandenburg, EWE AG, SIGNAL IDUNA, IKK Brandenburg and Berlin and the employment agencies in Cottbus, Eberswalde, Frankfurt (Oder), Potsdam and Neuruppin.
