On Wednesday, 15 October 2025 at 16:00, the short guided tour "Founders, Goldsmiths and Dignitaries" on "Silver of the Neumark" with Dr. Sonja Michaels will take place at Museum Viadrina.
The new cabinet exhibition in the baroque "Odersaal" of the Junkerhaus takes visitors into the world of the 17th and 18th centuries.
The new acquisition of the ten silver objects represents the most spectacular purchase to date for the Viadrina Municipal Museum. The cup, the jug, the necklace and the vessels tell of the Neumark's past and refer to the people who shaped this region for a long time.
A collection catalog has been published to accompany the exhibition with the support of the Association of Friends and Sponsors of the Viadrina Museum. This can be purchased at the Viadrina Municipal Museum. The proceeds from its sale will be used, among other things, to expand the collection of the Frankfurt City Museum and are available for further new acquisitions.
