Retraining as notary clerk from August 2023 in Frankfurt (Oder)

In cooperation with the Länderotarkasse offers the Deutsche Angestellten-Akademie (DAA) in Frankfurt (Oder) from 01 August 2023 a new retraining. The already existing range of professional qualifications is expanded by the retraining to the notary clerk.

Claus Junghanns, mayor and first alderman of the city of Frankfurt (Oder): "I expressly welcome the joint commitment of the DAA and the Brandenburg notaries to establish the retraining as a notary clerk. With this, we are taking on a pioneering role in the state of Brandenburg."

The retraining to become a notary clerk includes both theoretical knowledge and practical skills and takes a total of 24 months full-time. The ongoing internship (3 days a week) prepares trainees for a smooth entry into the profession.

"I am very pleased that various players are working together here to offer an interesting and varied range of further training. The profession of notary clerk is very exciting and socially relevant. At the same time, this profession is surprisingly often unknown to many people without reference to the notary's office", said the Frankfurt notary Dr. Clemens Sudhof.

During the retraining period, the trainees learn, among other things, the notarial business, client or investment advice, accounting and control and can thus prepare for the professional everyday life with a variety of tasks.

"Through our close cooperation with the Brandenburg Chamber of Notaries and the notaries we can offer the retraining throughout the state of Brandenburg. The retraining as a notary clerk is a future-proof perspective for people who are seeking a professional reorientation. The professional training is led by experienced lecturers and practitioners from the notary's offices. Until 31.08.2023 you can start with the retraining" says Bernd Ketelhöhn, location manager of the DAA in Frankfurt (Oder). The managing director of the Brandenburg Chamber of Notaries, Dr. Sarah Messinger, adds: "Even people who have dropped out of their studies or have no career prospects now have the opportunity to learn a demanding and crisis-proof profession in just two years. Thanks to digital instruction and practical training by notaries throughout the country, the retraining is also suitable for interested parties with little spatial flexibility."

The following admission requirements must be observed:

• A middle school diploma or higher
• Consultation interview and testing
