Premiere of "Krabat" as a visually stunning sand theater show at the Kleist Forum

The great Sorbian tale "Krabat" celebrates its premiere on April 5 at Frankfurt's Kleist Forum in a visually stunning version by the popular sand artists. Sand artist Alla Denisova brings the story of the orphan boy who is lured by dreams to a mysterious mill to life. Krabat not only learns the miller's trade from his sinister master, but also the art of black magic. But the price is high: at the end of each year, a miller's apprentice must die. Only the love of a girl can save Krabat and break the spell of the devil's mill.

Existential themes such as friendship and betrayal, freedom and oppression, the temptations of power and the power of love are portrayed in impressive sand creations, accompanied by moving music and narrator Ronny Krappmann, whose distinctive voice is known from the ARD magazine "Brisant", among others.
