The pro agro association is calling for expressions of interest in organising the 22nd edition of the Brandenburg Village and Harvest Festival. The informal and non-binding expression of interest can be sent to pro agro by 8 May; the deadline for a binding application is 26 June 2026.
Any municipality, town or office in the state of Brandenburg with municipal, local or official districts that have a village character and/or are characterised by agriculture can apply to host the Brandenburg Village and Harvest Festival in 2027. The dates available are 11 and 18 September 2027.
The official announcement of the 2027 host is planned for the Brandenburg Village and Harvest Festival 2026 on 12 September in Damelang. The baton will traditionally be handed over on the Brandenburg Day of the Green Week in Berlin, accompanied by a stage programme designed by the organising municipality/region.
The participation and involvement of regional agricultural and forestry producers, processors, craftspeople, associations and cultural groups is obligatory. The presentation of regional value chains should be an integral part of the event. Community life, culture and customs, economic development and initiatives, regional marketers and regional products, crafts as well as the challenges and problems of rural areas should be presented to the public.
