For more than 30 years, the Open Monument Day has been held nationwide on the second Sunday in September. This year's theme, "True signs. Witnesses of History", the aim is to show that the preservation of old buildings is not an end in itself, but a social necessity.

The Lower Monument Protection Authority of the City of Frankfurt (Oder) will also be taking part in the Open Monument Day on Sunday, 8 September 2024.

The complex – consisting of the Telegraph Office, Telegraph Construction Office, warehouse building and two motor vehicle halls – was built in 1926/27 and grouped around an inner courtyard. The time of construction, choice of location and design reflect both local influences and national developments. In addition to the historical background, the future use concept will be presented to interested parties.

In three approximately one-hour guided tours at 10.00 a.m., 12.00 p.m. and 14.00 p.m., the owner, planners and conservationists will jointly familiarize visitors with the building complex. Registration is not required.
