On Sunday, September 10, 2023, the annual Open Monument Day coordinated by the German Foundation for Monument Protection will take place. Titled is the nationwide 30th action day of this kind with the motto "Talent Monument".

Also the Lower Monument Protection Authority of the City of Frankfurt (Oder) offers with the support of various actors program points:

      City Hall construction site, Market Square 1, construction site entrance south side

      • 11:00: Welcome by Lord Mayor René Wilke
      • subsequently until 17.00: open foyer, information about the construction site, catering (drinks / snacks) in the site entrance area
      • 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 13:00, 13:30, 14:00, 14:30, 15:00, 15:30, 16:00: architectural tour (each about an hour)
      • 11:45, 12:45: Archaeology tour (each about an hour)

      It should be noted that only people with sturdy shoes access to the site is granted.

      Peace Church, School Street 4a

      • 11:00 to 17:00: open church, information on restorations
      • 12:00, 14:00, 16.00: guided tour (about one hour)

      • 12:00 to 16:00: Information on the project "Protestant Grammar School Frankfurt (Oder)"

      The accessibility of the three locations is only conditionally given.

      On the city's website, places for the various tours can be booked until Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023, for the "City Hall Construction Site" and "Main Post Office" locations under the "Open Monument Day" appointment button.

      A small contingent of remaining tickets and back-up places will be held directly on site at the entrance to the guided tours.
