Nominations sought for "Volunteer of the Year"

Also in the year 2023 the city of Frankfurt (Oder) distinguishes the "honorary office of the year". This action is supported by the Sparkasse Oder-Spree as well as Antenne Brandenburg.

From 2 to 31 October 2023, Frankfurt clubs and institutions may propose particularly committed volunteer helpers for the honor. The eight categories of the award reflect the diversity of volunteer work in the city. New are the categories "junior price" for engaged young people under 25 years as well as the "Heinzelmännchenpreis" for the quiet helping in the background.

The unpaid and often very time-consuming work of the committed contributes to a multifaceted association landscape and to the implementation of civic activities in citizens' initiatives. Public and social recognition takes place annually with the "Volunteer of the Year" award.

All proposed Ehrenamtlerinnen and Ehrenamtler are presented with a gift and invited to the honor event in the great hall of the Lodge House, Logenstraße 11 on December 8, 2023.
