On Thursday, 19 March at 6 p.m., the music school invites you to the "Teachers on Stage" concert in the music school's chamber music hall. Teachers from the music school will present a chamber music programme with works by Purcell, Saint-Saëns, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Shostakovich and Haydn.
Selma Westermann (bassoon), Boyi Ruan (oboe), Hannes Metze-Stuyven (violin), Thomas Georgi (cello) and Ricardo Bozolo (piano) will perform.
The concert is aimed at pupils of the music school, their families and all those interested in culture.
Admission is free.
Easter Market of Cultures
An afternoon concert will take place in the Friedenskirche on Sunday, 22 March from 2 p.m. as part of the Easter Market of Cultures. Pupils and ensembles will present a programme of singing, piano and chamber music as well as band projects.
The German-Polish Youth Orchestra (DPJO) will kick off the event. The orchestra will present its newly developed programme from the last summer camp to the public for the first time. The project symbolises the lively collaboration between young musicians from Germany and Poland.
The programme will be followed by contributions from various classes at the music school, including piano, voice, flute, violin, harp and guitar, as well as performances by school bands.
The event will conclude with the inclusive band TAKE ALL under the direction of Sven Loichen. The band can look back on a long history and developed from a music project that began in 1997 and led to the current line-up via several formations.
