This year's Christmas fairy tale at Frankfurt's Kleist Forum is about nothing less than saving the world. "Der satanarchäolügenialkohöllische Wunschpunsch" by the Hans Otto Theater Potsdam can be seen as a family performance on November 30 at 3 p.m. There are only a few tickets left for the morning performances for school classes and daycare groups from 1 to 5 December.

New Year's Eve: the secret sorcerer Professor Dr. Beelzebub Irrwitzer and his aunt witch Tyrannja Vamperl join forces to fulfill their contract with the devil and make up for their evil deeds just in time for the New Year. Together they brew the satanic-archaic-lying-hellish wish punch, which has the power to turn all good wishes into their opposite. But the two of them have not reckoned with their pets. Maurizio di Mauro the cat and Jakoba Krakel the raven are on a secret mission to find out for the High Council of Animals where all the evil on earth comes from. Of course, they find out about the witch and wizard and do everything they can to prevent the catastrophe at the last second.

Michael Ende's classic children's book tells of solidarity and friendship, the common good and self-interest and that it is never too late to fight for what is right.
