Mental illness is one of the second most common reasons for employees calling in sick in Germany. From 10 to 20 October 2024, the Mental Health Day campaign week will therefore focus this year on the topic of "Hand in Hand for Mental Health at Work".
The aim of the campaign day is to make employers and employees more aware of the issue of mental stress, to encourage them to find solutions and to counteract stigmatization.
Mental Health Day in Frankfurt (Oder) will take place on Thursday, 10 October from 12.30 p.m. at the Federal Employment Agency's career information centre. It is being jointly organized by the members of the Psychosocial Working Group (PSAG).
In addition to the thematic exchange, there will be presentations on the aspects of prevention, resilience and mental hygiene as well as the opportunity to get to know the services offered by the providers and institutions. There will also be an opportunity to chat over coffee and cake. The event will be rounded off with a sports activity offered by StadtSportBund Frankfurt (Oder) e.V.
