The ensemble with the unmistakable masks is back: on January 25, the Flöz family will perform "Feste" at Frankfurt's Kleist Forum and tell a melancholy, poetic fairy tale without words in their typical style. But with full physical commitment, sweeping gestures and slapstick interludes, accompanied by live music.
A wedding is to take place in a stately house by the sea. In the dark backyard, lovable characters, from the cleaning lady to the cook to the manager, do their best to make the celebration an unforgettable experience. In the hustle and bustle of the hectic preparations, they fight for their dignity and the respect of the rich. When a strange woman suddenly appears, order is thrown out of kilter. Heavily pregnant and carrying a heavy rucksack, she seeks refuge in the courtyard. In exchange for protection and the bare necessities, she soon offers her help. As if by magic, the stranger performs small miracles and everyone's lives gradually begin to change.
A tragicomic story about the pursuit of individual happiness, but there is more to it than meets the eye. A celebration of life, with all its abysses and contradictions.
