Applications open until September 28

For the 16th time this year, the German-Polish project "Living Advent Calendar Frankfurt (Oder)-Słubice" will be implemented. From December 1 to 24, 2023, the doors to many institutions in the twin city are to open once again. In a pre-Christmas atmosphere are offered thereby traditionally bilingual meeting opportunities.

It is looking for initiatives, associations, stores and institutions that want to shape the Advent season in an original way and at the same time bring together diverse target groups together with other institutions to stimulate exchange between generations and cultures.

Interested parties have until September 28, 2023 to submit their ideas as hosts for a little door in the Advent calendar. The application form can be found in both German and Polish on the city's website (keyword: Citizens' Platform > Initiatives >"Living Advent Calendar"). After the application deadline, the organizing team will review the submitted proposals and decide whether to include them in the event series.

The project is implemented by a German-Polish network. It currently consists of the Frankfurt (Oder) "Innenstadt-Beresinchen" neighborhood management, the Słubice and Frankfurt (Oder) city councils, Wohnungswirtschaft Frankfurt (Oder) GmbH, Słubicki Miejski Ośrodek Kultury (SMOK) and Messe- und Veranstaltungs GmbH. The network accompanies and supports all participants and assists with public relations.
