On Friday, November 15, 2024, the District Conference North is organizing a festival for the whole family from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Under the motto "Nordleuchten", Frankfurters are invited to light up the northern district together with their self-made or purchased lanterns.
The meeting point is at Hansaplatz, from where the lantern procession will parade through the district at 4.00 pm. After arriving at the "Siegfried Ringhandt" Protestant senior citizens' center, Seelower Kehre 3, the entertainment program begins at around 4.30 pm. This includes creative activities for children, DJ Mario and a fire show as a highlight at 5.30 p.m.
In addition to tea and mulled wine, bratwurst and wieners, stick dough and candy floss will be on offer.
The event is financially supported by the city of Frankfurt (Oder).
