You won't find a more eastern theater in Germany. Located directly on the Oder embankment, the Theater am Rand becomes one with the surrounding nature. The vastness of the Oderbruch can and should be part of the performance.

The Theater am Rand is located away from the big cities, on the eastern edge of Germany, in the Oderbruch, in the village of Zollbrücke. The characterful landscape dictates the rules of the game. Simplicity, professionalism and the handmade define the theater, which has been converted several times. The actors and operators are accordionist Tobias Morgenstern and actor Thomas Rühmann, who realize their various projects here.

In a short video Thomas Rühmann gives some very personal recommendations for the upcoming start of the season - with a sung Gundermann line, of course: Oh, let's go on to over the edge!

Eyes open during the endurance run! On April 13, 3:00 pm, Pierre Schäfer tells the story of the hare and the hedgehog for children aged five and up. Lively dialog, a pointed style of acting and rapid scene changes turn Grimm's fairy tale into animal fun for the whole family in this play with puppets.

You can find information about the performance and make a reservation at Hare and Hedgehog.
