The exceptional actress Judith Rosmair will be a guest at Frankfurt's Kleist Forum on June 7 with her solo performance "Curtain Call!", which was developed from biographical material. In it, she embodies an actress on the eve of the premiere of Tolstoy's "Anna Karenina". She hasn't been able to sleep for weeks and is on the verge of a nervous breakdown. But that night she discovers her mother's diary and is swept into a nightmarish stream of consciousness of childhood memories, existential fears and longing. Poetry and reality become blurred, her feverish brain is flooded with music, but then the curtain rises...
This tour de force through the highs and lows of a life in the theater also deals with topics such as insomnia, anorexia, abuse and healing.
Authentic, touching, but also humorous.
