The Nature Conservation Advisory Council and the lower nature conservation authority of the city of Frankfurt (Oder) invite interested parties to a technical lecture on the subject of wild bees in the context of the Nature Conservation Advisory Council meeting on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the town hall.

The Research Institute for Post-mining Landscapes e.V. from Finsterwalde presents the project "Bee Castles - Citizen Science for a network of habitat islands for wild bees", reports on initial results and is available for questions following the lecture.

Beehive castles are a novel concept of complex nesting and foraging habitat developed specifically for wild bees. It combines various proven approaches from wild bee conservation with a focus on the needs of native wild bee species.
