IHK Ostbrandenburg publishes new commercial rent index for the region
With the 2026 commercial rent index, the IHK Ostbrandenburg has now published an up-to-date overview of commercial rents in the districts of Uckermark, Barnim, Märkisch-Oderland, Oder-Spree and the city of Frankfurt (Oder).
It contains an overview of current existing rents for shops, offices, surgeries, law firms, restaurants as well as production and storage space at 16 locations in East Brandenburg. The analysis shows that commercial rents in East Brandenburg have remained largely unchanged in many locations since the last survey in 2022. There has been some movement in good locations, where the upper limits have risen slightly in some cases, but have often remained constant. In the poorer locations, the lower limits fall slightly in some cases, but here too rents remain stable.
Overall, there is no sudden increase, but a continuous, moderate development.
The East Brandenburg commercial rent index is a guide for landlords and tenants of commercial premises in particular, who can find information on the level of local comparative rents with specific data for the East Brandenburg region. It also offers potential investors a solid planning basis for possible new developments. The commercial rent index is not legally binding, but provides a valuable basis for negotiations with regard to reference points and comparison options.
The data is based on numerous responses from landlords, tenants, administrations and estate agents – supplemented by the expertise of the IHK expert committee.
