This year, Berlin-Friedrichshain is once again home to a wonderful Christmas market with a historical feel. In the middle of the RAW area, which is popular for clubs, art and cultural events, torches, fireplaces and numerous stalls bathe the backdrop in a medieval light.
Tacky plastic Santas are nowhere to be seen here, instead potters, wood carvers and many more present and sell their crafts. Visitors can warm their spirits at the taverns with many a fine drink, such as hot mead, mulled wine and Feuerzangenbowle, and indulge their palates with hearty and sweet dishes.
With historical music, jugglers and acrobats amaze the audience with their fire shows. There is also entertainment for the little ones. The hand-operated wooden carousel and giant wooden wheel are particularly fun and unique for children. Young and old knights and princesses can prove their skills at archery and crossbow shooting. The historic Christmas in Berlin Friedrichshain is a unique experience for the whole family in the run-up to Christmas. So iron your chain mail, lace up your corset and see for yourself!
Come along and be enchanted!
