The need for skilled workers is one of the biggest challenges for companies across all industries, including in Frankfurt (Oder) and the surrounding region.
Companies looking for trainees can take the opportunity to participate in the 23rd Future Day across Germany on April 3, 2025. As part of this event, companies in the state of Brandenburg will once again have the opportunity to present themselves to young people and promote their own training and career opportunities.
Mayor Claus Junghanns sees this as an opportunity for local companies to get into conversation with interested school pupils from the city in an uncomplicated way and without much extra effort:
"On this day, our companies can give young people a look behind the scenes and show them very individual career paths in their company. Employers have the opportunity to answer questions about necessary prior knowledge or processes in everyday working life, either in person or digitally. We have a diverse employer landscape in Frankfurt (Oder) and the range of apprenticeships on offer has nothing to hide. If we want to keep young people in our region, we have to show them that they have excellent training opportunities and attractive prospects for the future here."
