At last, students and employees of the European University Viadrina as well as sports enthusiasts of the region will once again run together across Frankfurt's Ziegenwerder Island. After three pandemic editions, the charity run ViaRunning will again take place entirely in presence on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. The starting signal for the four-kilometer run will be given at 6:15 p.m. at the Gräfin Dönhoff building; from 5:00 p.m., the preliminary program will begin with a DJ, a welcome by Viadrina President Prof. Dr. Eduard Mühle, and a professionally guided warm-up. After the run, all participants are invited to end the evening with live music, beer and a free meal from the grill.
The entry fee in the form of a donation is at least three euros.

For the 15th time, the ViaRunning charity run initiated by Viadrina economist Prof. Dr. Georg Stadtmann and organized by students will take place. As every year, the donations go to Passo Fundo e. V., which uses them to enable talented young people in Brazil, Kenya and Malawi to study at university. In previous years, due to the Corona pandemic, the organizing team had called for the four-kilometer course to be completed individually at a location of choice. This year, a collaborative event is again possible. Interested parties who can not be on site can still participate digitally and document their run with the help of an app.
