The ALCARO Invest GmbH has completed and fully leased the first of several planned logistics properties at the Log Plaza Frankfurt (Oder) location. Namely, to the EV Cargo group of companies, which will use the logistics property with more than 47,500 square meters of rental space for the distribution and storage of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles.
.René Wilke, Lord Mayor of Frankfurt (Oder): "This is very welcome news for our city and the entire region. We are very pleased that the expected success on the Log Plaza site and the responsible persons of ALCARO Invest GmbH, who have already contributed so excellently to our city in the short past time, can see confirmed in their decision for this location. I would like to express my special thanks for the very good and trusting discussions with the representatives of ALCARO Invest GmbH and the EV Cargo group of companies in the run-up to this investment decision for Frankfurt (Oder)."
.Anton Mertens, co-founder and managing partner of ALCARO Invest GmbH: "Our strategy has worked. We have built the first logistics hall speculatively and according to the sustainable Log Plaza concept and as planned after completion fully as well as long-term leased. In addition to the successful leasing, we are particularly pleased that the tenant is active in the future industry of electromobility and thus further strengthens the East Brandenburg region. We would like to thank the politicians and administration of the city of Frankfurt (Oder) for the trusting and committed cooperation to date."
"The leasing of the first logistics property is the prelude to further development on the approximately 44-hectare Log Plaza Frankfurt (Oder) site as a future-oriented logistics and industrial location" adds Peter Bergmann, project manager of ALCARO Invest. "We also see an increasing interest in logistics sites in the Berlin-Brandenburg region. Especially if these are designed to be sustainable. ALCARO is therefore already preparing the building applications for the next Log Plaza Frankfurt (Oder) logistics halls."
