On Monday, March 10, 2025 from 5 p.m. to 7.30 p.m., the film screening of "Jeder schweigt von etwas anderem" (Everyone is silent about something else) will take place at Museum Viadrina (Junkerhaus), followed by a discussion.
Taboos, traumatization and prejudices make it difficult to talk about experiences of imprisonment in the GDR. Even in the families concerned, it is therefore often difficult to come to terms with political persecution. The documentary approaches the intergenerational reappraisal of the past shaped by dictatorship using the example of three families. The screening is being held with the permission of the Stiftung Aufarbeitung.
