The project "HALBE STADTansichten" shows the development of Frankfurt's residential area Halbe Stadt (from the Pablo Neruda Block to Poetensteig). Photographs, planning materials, artworks and current views are presented to give insights into the historical development as well as the current lifestyles on site.

The first part of the project already took place in May 2023. The current exhibition is now supplemented by the results of the further events as well as by newly opened materials.
In addition, the exhibition "To make art a plate" on the pedestrian zone in the Great Scharrnstraße, which was first shown in 2021, can be seen. Here, art provides an occasion to enter into conversation about change and quality of public space.

The exhibition will be opened by Mayor René Wilke and the managing director of the Brandenburg Society for Culture and History gGmbH (Kulturland Brandenburg) Katja Melzer. Afterwards, the curators Magdalena Scherer and Antje Wilke will guide visitors through the exhibition.

Both exhibitions on Frankfurt's urban development in the GDR and its transformation are from 16 September to 21 November 2023 in St. Mary's Church to be seen.
