Once a semester, TH Wildau traditionally celebrates diversity and multiculturalism with the International Afternoon. Students, teaching staff and employees present their home countries, enjoy culinary delights, make music and sing together and exchange ideas. It's happening again on 7 May 2026 from 2 to 5 p.m. Of course, interested citizens are also cordially invited.

Diverse Cultures – One Campus, diverse cultures, one campus: this is the motto under which the International Office of Wildau University of Applied Sciences (TH Wildau) is inviting students to the next International Afternoon on campus on 7 May 2026. With around 20 per cent international students from more than 60 countries, the university sees itself as a place of diversity and intercultural exchange - this will be celebrated next Thursday. A colourful programme awaits visitors in the foyer of Hall 17, directly in front of the Audimax: traditional dishes, music and games will be presented at various country tables.

"Our International Afternoon is always a highlight and therefore well worth a visit. The event brings people from different countries together to learn about cultures, share common experiences and strengthen mutual understanding. We are delighted when people from the region also find their way to us to get to know the diversity of our university and to celebrate on this day. It's the togetherness that counts," emphasises organiser Carolina Winkler from the International Office at TH Wildau.

Advice for studying abroad and Kids Corner

The upcoming International Afternoon will be opened by Prof. Rainer Stollhoff, Vice President for Studies and Teaching at TH Wildau. Afterwards, visitors can take a tour of the country tables. This semester: Pakistan, Poland, India, Vietnam, France, Spain, China, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and more. In addition to culinary samples from all over the world, guests can learn new languages and scripts, try out traditional dances or discover instruments and clothing from different cultures. The International Afternoon not only offers insights into different traditions, but also the opportunity to make new contacts and find out about international study opportunities.

In addition, there will be information about studying abroad and an area with child-friendly activities for younger guests. This means that families can also take part in a relaxed manner. The Student Council of TH Wildau will also be on site with a stand.
