A great success for the MOVE team from the Oder-Spree district: the tour for mobility education and participation of young people has been nominated for the nationwide "Good Citizen Participation 2025" award. This has now been officially announced by the Kompetenzzentrum Bürgerbeteiligung e.V.
The MOVE tour was shortlisted from numerous applications nationwide. The jury's final decision will be made on October 13, 2025 and the award ceremony will take place on November 3, 2025 at 5 p.m. in the Alex TV studio in Berlin.
"We are delighted about this nomination and are of course keeping our fingers crossed," says Karolin Ring, district spokesperson and member of the MOVE team. "It is a great confirmation of our work that our administration is being recognized at a national level with such an important topic as citizen participation. We are particularly pleased that the voices of young people and their commitment to better mobility are receiving attention through this award."
With the MOVE tour launched this year, the district regularly visits schools in the region to involve young people directly in the design of local public transport. Concerns such as overcrowded school buses, timetables, digital solutions or sustainable mobility concepts are taken up on site and discussed together with experts.
