Stadtradeln is a competition in which the aim is to cycle as many everyday journeys as possible in a climate-friendly way for 21 days. It doesn't matter whether someone already rides every day or has so far ridden a bike rather infrequently. Every kilometer counts - especially if it would otherwise have been covered by car. This year, the competition will take place from September 3 to 23, 2023. Municipalities and sports associations are cordially invited to join the district.
For the fifth time, there will again be the challenge cup for the most diligent group (city, municipality, etc.). Cup defender is the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin, which is to beat. The central opening event will take place on September 3, 2023 in Rüdersdorf bei Berlin. The exact location as well as the time and the schedule will be announced soon.

Background: The Climate Alliance's City Cycling competition invites all members of local parliaments to pedal as role models for climate protection and to promote increased cycling. Working as a team with residents, sports clubs and recreational cyclists, the local representatives want to collect as many bicycle kilometers as possible for their municipality. These will be centrally recorded and evaluated. The campaign aims to raise people's awareness of cycling in everyday life and to bring the issues of bicycle use and cycling planning more strongly into local parliaments. Cities, municipalities and districts worldwide can run the campaign. The teams with the most kilometers will be awarded - but the most important thing is a livable environment with less traffic pollution, less exhaust fumes and less noise for everyone.
