Together with the Digital Angel, the mobile advice team for digital issues from Deutschland sicher im Netz e.V., the Frankfurt-Słubice Cooperation Center is hosting an information event on the topic of "Smartphones and tablets – basics for older people". This will take place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Heilbronn room of Frankfurt (Oder) town hall.

Many older people already own a smartphone or tablet, but still feel unsure how to use the devices. What exactly are apps? How does a user account work?

The event explains the most important settings step by step. Experts will provide support in recognizing and using various apps – making digital media more accessible in everyday life.

The Digital Angel, a team of digital experts, will be available in person this afternoon to answer questions about online applications and new media. The offer is aimed specifically at older online and offline users who want to expand their digital knowledge. Participation is free of charge.

About the Digital Angel: The Digital Angel project is part of the German government's implementation strategy for shaping the digital transformation. It is implemented by Deutschland sicher im Netz e.V. with funding from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Under the umbrella of the DigitalPakt Alters, the Digital Angel specifically promotes the digital participation of older people.
