Das Berliner Kabarett-Ensemble Distel mit dem Stück „Jenseits von Germany“ © Robert Müller

The Berlin cabaret ensemble Distel promises a weird road trip through an even weirder country at their guest performance at the Theaterhaus Kleist Forum in Frankfurt (Oder) on 18 January. In "Jenseits von Germany", the cult satirists take on the absurdities of the present with their usual sharp pen, bitter humor and live music:

The railroads: dilapidated. The bridges: broken. The shortage of skilled workers: has reached the government. A black rocker is chancellor, a complete idiot is American president and an American is pope. And this despite the fact that Markus Söder was available for all three jobs. At the same time, everyone still wants to be right: Left, right, center, top, bottom.
100 minutes of political cabaret at its best and a fast-paced journey through the issues of our time.

" ... an unabashedly amusing trio infernale. (...) Quite tough and yet abysmally lively. (...) A splendid program about the impositions of the present." (Märkische Oderzeitung)
