Mr. Rainer Schinkel, Alderman and Head of Department I of the district of Märkisch-Oderland, met with Mr. Krzysztof Karwatowicz, the new District Administrator of the district of Gorzowski, to discuss past and future cooperation in Gorzow.
The following topics and projects were discussed, among others the following topics and projects:
- "Capital City Route EV2/R1 – Phase II" – joint application under the Interreg VI A Brandenburg – Poland 2021-2027 cooperation programme
- the organization of a cross-border fishing competition - joint application under the Small Projects Fund (SPF) of the Interreg VI A Brandenburg – Poland 2021-2027 cooperation programme
- Plans for further cross-border cooperation projects
Information on current topics such as the war in Ukraine and its consequences as well as the effects of the German-Polish government consultations were also exchanged at the joint meeting.
The two districts have been working together since 1999. Joint activities strengthen the links between the regions and open up new opportunities for citizens.
The district of Märkisch-Oderland is looking forward to further trustful cooperation!
