The latest feel-good musical from the legendary Schmidt Theater on Hamburg's Reeperbahn can be seen at the Kleist Forum on April 15 and 16. "The Last Ride to San Fernando" is an over-the-top mix of wordplay, innuendo, improvisation skills and plenty of songs ranging from Truck Stop and Dolly Parton to Britney Spears, Gitte and the Bee Gees. A musical and comedic fireworks that turns the Western genre completely inside out.
The story takes place in the former gold mining town of San Fernando, which thanks to the bad-tempered and extremely trigger-happy sheriff is only a shadow of its former self. The saloon "To the three-legged pony" has also experienced wilder times. Now, besides the boss Delilah Fatale, the cook and the frustrated bar singer Caro Coquette, there is no one left. Until one day a nameless stranger enters the dusty scene. It unravels a crazy round dance about lost family members, half treasure maps, soups with or without gluten and love in a place where you really have not looked for it.
To the culinary pleasure becomes the theater evening on Saturday already starting from 18 o'clock with the theater menu. Guests can expect a seasonal menu consisting of two or three courses, and vegetarian on request, in the theater restaurant Schroffensteins.
