When and where?
26.4.2023 | Saturday | 10 am to 2 pm
Stand in front of freenet store in Eisenbahnstraße
At the first Open Streets Festival Fürstenwalde you can get to know the Coder Dojo. There are laptops ready to program. Try it out and come by.
What is a Coder Dojo?
It is a free, local programming club for young people. Young people can use it to learn how to program. The format exists in more than 100 countries. Not yet in Fürstenwalde - that's about to change.
What are the prerequisites?
Interest in the topic is important and you can already read. Maybe you have someone who can accompany you in the beginning and help you. If that's not possible, the Coder Dojo team will support you.
How should the Coder Dojo be implemented after the Open Streets Festival?
Under the guidance of an (adult) person, we will meet (probably) in the city library of Fürstenwalde. Laptops are available there for free use. The Coder Dojo takes place once a month and lasts about 2 hours.
When a first meeting will take place, depends on the interested children and young people. Therefore, register here.
What is the goal?
Programming is easy, but knowledge about it is scarce. The Coder Dojo is a learning space for young people to try themselves out and learn programming in a community. It offers space to get to know oneself and one's own strengths and to take responsibility. The goal is to establish a Coder Dojo in Fürstenwalde in the long term. The children and young people have it in their hands that this succeeds.
Who is the Coder Dojo Team?
The presence office Fürstenwalde cooperates here with the city library Fürstenwalde and the youth information and media center - JIM.
