Aiming for images that show what the world of training has to offer – the Brandenburg Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Cottbus, East Brandenburg and Potsdam have officially launched their state-wide trainee photo competition 2026. All trainees in commercial and industrial-technical IHK training professions can take part, regardless of the year of training or the equipment used.
The most original, honest and creative snapshots of everyday training in Brandenburg will be awarded under the motto: "Training. Passion. Me."
"As we all know, a picture is worth a thousand words. We don't have to explain this to a generation that lives most of its social life via social media. And that's why we're excited to see what stories young people have to tell us about their preferred medium," summarizes Ina Hänsel, President of the Potsdam Chamber of Industry and Commerce, on behalf of the state working group of Brandenburg's chambers.
"With the competition, we IHKs are putting the spotlight on young talent, but we also want to highlight the special commitment of our member companies and the diversity and quality of dual training in Brandenburg – beyond large marketing campaigns, by giving a stage to authentic insights from everyday training."
Call for entries
The eight best entries from each chamber district will win up to 150 euros for the trainee fund, depending on their ranking. In addition to attractive prizes for the trainees, the training companies also benefit from nationwide visibility through effective public relations work, social media presence and appreciative award presentations directly in the company.
Training companies are called upon to actively motivate their trainees to participate and to support them in the implementation. The competition is deliberately designed to be low-threshold and is open to trainees of all training years.
The closing date for entries is March 13, 2026.
