The Supervisory Board of Messe und Veranstaltungs GmbH has entrusted Florian Vogel with the management of the company until further notice. The 51-year-old has been Artistic Director of the Theaterhaus Kleist Forum since 2016 and as such develops the theater's diverse repertoire. Most recently, he and his team set attendance records.
Now he will also be responsible for the fortunes of the entire company, which also includes the operation of the exhibition halls and city marketing, including major events such as the Hanseatic City Festival, Christmas Market, Klassik ohne Grenzen and the German-Polish Tourist Information.
Florian Vogel emphasizes: "The challenges are great and, in their complexity, a task for more than one. However, I am very confident that we will succeed in mastering them. After all, I know how committed and experienced the employees in this company are. I have also been familiar with the range of business areas from working with them for 10 years."
Messe und Veranstaltungs GmbH is the largest provider of cultural events in the region. The change at the top was made necessary by the death of Managing Director Sven Tietze.
